I was a little nervous about buying mace ground since I’d only ever used it whole, but the delicate flavor really comes through in a fish chowder I tried last night. It’s finer than I expected and blends in smoothly without any gritty bits, so it’s earned a permanent spot in my spice drawer.

The lacy texture is just as described, and it grinds down beautifully for a delicate, warm spice that’s perfect for my fish stew. I’ve already used it twice this week and the aroma fills the kitchen without overpowering anything.
