This really speeds up prep for gumbo night. The dried blend holds its flavor well during long simmering, and it saved me a ton of chopping time.

Chopping the holy trinity from scratch every time gets old, so this dried mix is a real shortcut for weeknight gumbo. The onion, bell pepper, and celery hold up fine through a long simmer, which is all I really need.

I was skeptical about dried celery, but these veggies rehydrate perfectly in a slow cooker—my gumbo had that authentic texture without any chopping.
