Pure Lemon Extract

Pure Lemon Extract is made from the oil of cold-pressed lemons. This process results in a big burst of fresh lemon flavor. The bright citrus flavor will give your desserts a distinct flavor. Pure Lemon Extract is for more than lemon desserts! Lemon adds a nice boost to berry flavors. Use it in strawberry sauce, blueberry muffins or cherry pies!

To make Pure Lemon Extract, lemon peel is crushed then soaked and steeped in grain alcohol to infuse bright citrusy flavor. The infusion ages several months for the flavors and aromas to develop and intensify. The concentrated liquid extract is combined with cold-pressed lemon oil to heighten the flavor. Pure Lemon Extract is one of our favorites to use in the Teaching Kitchen.

Here's a pastry chef secret: Pair up extracts. It's our favorite pro tip, and we do it in every baking recipe. Pair up Pure Lemon Extract with Pure Almond Extract, Pure Strawberry Extract and Pure Vanilla Extract. The one-two punch of extracts really enhance flavors.
