Category: Blends, Holiday

Our Autumn Blend is the taste of New England. Brown sugar, cinnamon, maple, roasted garlic and ancho powder combine to make this unique blend that's exactly what Fall weather cooking is all about. Terrific on turkey, pork and chicken, and we love it on Smashed Cauliflower. Or try risotto- add this blend to Arborio rice in addition to small diced butternut squash.

Ingredients: Maple Sugar, Cinnamon, Roasted Garlic, Urfa Biber chile, Coriander, Ginger.

I was skeptical about how the garlic and ancho would work with the sweet elements, but the roasted garlic adds a savory depth that keeps the maple from being overpowering. Used it on roasted squash last night and the whole kitchen smelled incredible.

I wasn't sure about the maple at first, but it's subtle enough to let the brown sugar and cinnamon shine. Sprinkled it on roasted chicken thighs and the whole kitchen smelled like a crisp fall day. This is going straight into my regular rotation.

The roasted garlic and ancho really round out the sweetness of the brown sugar and maple—it's savory and cozy at the same time. I've used it on roasted veggies and in a quick pan sauce, and it nails that New England fall feeling.
