Mate tea originates from South America, specifically in countries like Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and southern Brazil. It has been consumed for centuries by indigenous peoples. Mate tea, made from the yerba mate plant, offers a strong, earthy flavor and provides a natural energy boost, rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
